PsychDeck operates on an ephemeral, zero-knowledge data model. Patient responses are processed entirely in active memory (RAM) to calculate scores and are instantly routed to the hosting clinician via encrypted WebSockets. We do not use databases, we do not log assessment payloads, and all session data are permanently destroyed when the session ends.
PsychDeck retains zero patient data. There is no database. When a session ends, all associated data — scores, responses, session identifiers — are permanently and irrecoverably destroyed.
Under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because PsychDeck operates on a zero-knowledge architecture and permanently destroys all session data upon completion, we do not hold any personal data that can be accessed, corrected, or deleted after your session ends. If you have questions about your data rights or how your data was processed during a session, you may contact us using the information provided in the Contact section below.
Because PsychDeck does not receive, maintain, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under 45 CFR §160.103, the platform operates outside the scope of HIPAA's covered entity and business associate requirements. The administering clinician is solely responsible for documenting assessment results in their own HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) system.
PsychDeck is a digital interface for standardized clinical assessment instruments that are published by their respective authors and organizations. PsychDeck does not develop, modify, or claim ownership of any hosted instrument. All instruments are reproduced in accordance with their respective public domain, open access, or attribution-based license terms. Original citations and publisher attributions are displayed within the application.
PsychDeck is a data display and transit tool. Scores are calculated strictly according to each instrument's published scoring rubric — no proprietary algorithms, clinical decision logic, or diagnostic interpretations are applied. PsychDeck does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or provide clinical advice of any kind.
PsychDeck is a technical transit layer. The administering clinician assumes all responsibility for selecting appropriate instruments, verifying the accuracy of scores, interpreting results within their clinical context, and securely documenting the data in their own HIPAA-compliant record system.
PsychDeck is intended for use by licensed healthcare professionals in clinical and telehealth settings. It is not intended for self-diagnosis by the general public.

PsychDeck is developed and maintained for free applied use, and informational and academic support. This application was developed by a master's Cognitive Science student to further the dispersion of accessible research-verified psychological measures and instruments. Thank you to the scientists, clinicians, organizations, and other such persons for providing the assessments we source.
